'Rehearsals' is the first release from Oh Petal, which demonstrates a strong commitment to tone, unexpected transitions and a total disregard for a comfortable duration. All tracks were rehearsed and recorded in live sessions at Higher Ground Studios, Annandale. Their EP release captures the key relationships and growth of the band, with a unique combo of characters: the dying pirate wife, reluctant quitter boss-lady, private school slacker, and annoying 80’s bastard. Featuring instrumental guitar-focused layers of reverb, multiple live loops, drones, distortions, drive stacks, and abundant modulations; mixed with non-lyric based vocals, synth, and gritty samples. 'Rehearsals' showcases the band in its rawest format.

Oh Petal is an experimental noise project that is based on Gadigal land in Sydney, Australia. The project emerges from the conceptual art background of band members Chanelle Collier, Taylor Hare, Anthony Hodgkinson and Joe Wilson. Oh Petal applies methodologies from visual art practices into song construction.
